[IN CREATION]

Casa às Costas is an itinerant-performance that aims to reflect on the concept of Home today, based on real-life testimonies from kids and adults.

The project focuses on street creation, adaptable to the surrounding landscape, based on the construction of two characters, two nomads characterized by their giant masks, who try to make the spaces they inhabit their home.

The project focuses on the language of physical theater and mask work, without resorting to words - eliminating any linguistic barriers to understanding, relying on gesture and the poetry of images.

It's a show for all audiences, offering poetry back to the streets, with a surreal and magical aesthetic, contrasting with the natural and/or city landscapes where it wants to be inserted.

*Its creation presupposes various activities of contact with different territories.

Covering the different age groups of the elementary/middle school, we propose activities such as:

debates, plastic workshops and theatrical games

Offering a space for sharing, so that children and families can foster interest in the theater of masks, puppets, the construction of imaginary worlds, new forms of bodily expression and reflection on the meaning of the words Home and House.
